PICTURE PERFECT FRIDAY ~ INFINITE

Picture Perfect Friday has a new face!

(Actually it has a couple of new faces!!)

They are incorporating team work into PPF

and we all know when we use team work

that

things are done better

and are lots more fun!!!

Our host this week is Cherie

and she started out this team effort

with a great word: INFINITE

If you are not a part of PPF

and would like to join in all the fun

just follow this link --------->PICTURE PERFECT

What could be more infinite than love?

It is all around us.

It is passed from one generation to the next.

There is love from parents to children, and children to their parents,

There is love of your brothers, sisters,

your grandchildren, and  your grandparents.

There is love for your extended family and your friends.

There is love of the people on the streets and all around our world.

I could go on and on because love is infinite.....

"If a thing loves, it is infinite."

~William Blake

These are people I love very much,

I am blood related to two (they are my grandaughters)

I am related in marriage to two (my son's mother and father in law)

and I am not related at all to two

BUT

My love for all 6 is infinite

as I can not begin to tell you how much I love each of them!!!

I could have posted a picture of my children or my granchildren,

my mother, my siblings, my friends

Any of those pictures would have been of infinite love!

Yes, it is all around us!

And when you feel as though you are alone ~ Remember:

God has an infinite love for each of us!!!

My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep.

The more I give thee, the more I have,

For both are infinite."

~ William Shakespeare

"I thank you God for the most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees,

and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural,

which is infinite, which is yes."

~ E. E. Cummings

I thank Him too for my friends

May you have a wonderful weekend!!!

I hate to tell you this, Mama.....

My last look at Monterey Beach

At a very early age, I leaned that my mother was a very wise woman.  There was not much that she didn't know and I don't think you could have found anything she couldn't do once she put her mind to it.  Have to tell you she use to even inform us that one day we would find out she knew everything.  I believed it and wanted to grow up to be just like her.  Now it seems that something has been called to my attention which disputes all I have ever known to be true.

For many years now, my mother has said to anyone that would listen that the nicest people in the world live in North Carolina.  Everyone that I have met from North Carolina has turned out to be wonderful indeed, but on a resent occasion I had the opportunity to find out first hand that the nicest people in the world, in fact, live in California.  I have been taught not to talk to back to my mother but I just have to speak up this time.  Now she really will know everything!!!

Everyone have a wonderful week!!!

You will be happy to hear

that we stayed away from the water here!

Monday, Monterey, and Me

Yes, Monday and Monterey just have to have me in there too,

as that was the part of California I was in today with two of

my favorite people in the whole world!!!  What a wonderful day!!!

For stories of my visit ~ you need to see Cherie's page

as she is the writer!  I spent most of the day smiling!

Well laughing out loud.  How I wish everyone

could meet these two ~ they are so worth sharing!!!

John got his brownies (requested by Frannie)

and Cherie and I enjoyed them also

(Think I ate more than my fair share.)

We searched for shells ~ admired the view

and killed spiders and did I mention ......

We smiled and laughed alot?

Well, we did. How I hope the week has started out well for all !!!

(I will try to visit PPF tomorrow night ~ sorry I am so late ~ would gladly have each and everyone of you here to share in the adventure!)

Today's the day!!!!

A note to my friends.....

As many of you know I am headed to  California for a visit with Cherie and am one excited girl!!!   Leave for the airport in two hours.  Will have the opportunity to meet several people that I think are so special!  I have not been very social on here the last couple of weeks between work, getting ready for this trip and family obligations (the last being my youngest grandchild's Baptism yesterday ~ also my week to work) but I will visit some while staying at Cherie's and promise to update everyone when I return and hopefully with pictures!!!  So many nice people on here ~ wouldn't it be great if we could all meet????

 Everyone have

a wonderful week!!!!!

PICTURE PERFECT FRIDAY ~ RED

Another fun week of Picture Perfect

has chosen the theme of RED this week.

Red roses are a beautiful and

wonderful surprise

 and a very thoughtful gift,

and have always been appriciated

so much in the past,

But roses of red or diamonds and gold

couldn't touch the surprise package or

surprise box that came in the mail

I found on my door step this Valentine's Day.

Why?    Because it was the thoughtfulness

that touched me so much!

My Red Picture from the past!!!

"The rose is a flower of love.

The world has acclaimed it for centuries.

Pink roses for love hopeful and expectant.

White roses for love dead or forsaken,

but the red roses, ah the red roses

are for love triumphant."

~ unknown

Photobucket

"Give her two red roses,

each with a note.

The first note says

For the woman I love.

and the second, for my best friend."

~ unknown

May you do something really

 thoughtful for someone

you care about this weekend

or may someone that cares

about you

 do something thoughtful

for you...

 Either way ~ May you

HAVE A WONDERFUL

WEEKEND!

PICTURE PERFECT FRIDAY ~ WATER

Water is life's mater and matrix,

 mother and medium.

There is no life without water.

~ Wendell Berry

Another Natchez Trace picture taken in 2006 with my Kodak Z740 digital camera

Nothing in the world is more flexible

and yielding than water

Yet when it attacks the firm and the strong,

none can withstand it,

because they have no way to change it.

So the flexible overcome the adamant,

the yielding overcome the forceful.

Everyone knows this, but no one can do it.

~ Lao Tuz

When despair for the world grows in me

and I awake in the night at the least sound

in fear of what my life

and my childrens lives may be,

I go and lie down where the wood drake

rests in his beauty on the water,

and the great heron feeds.

I come into the peace of wild things

who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief.

I come into the presence of still water.

And I feel above me the day-blind stars

waiting with their light.

For a time I rest in the grace of the world,

and am free.

~Wendell Berry

Be careful what you water your dreams with.  Water them with worry and fear and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream.  Water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success.  Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success.  Always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream.
