MONO MONDAY PLUS #36 & MONO MONDAY # 50

Mono Monday Plus #36 (MM #50)

(Link below)

Have been wanting to put this picture together for a while now.

I call it

"THE DREAM"

You need a place to dream about... (California, of course)

and the things to make the dream come true...

I took the "place" picture and added the bull moose first. Than the tee pee.  What you can't tell on this page (because of the white back ground) is the four pictures that look like they are just objects are actually on a white back ground them self and I really didn't want to do all that erasing so I was trying to figure out a way to get the white back ground transparent in GIMP... That wouldn't work with the tee pee as it had too much white on the object its self so it became transparent as well... But I did get it to work on the other three... had to flip the canoes and rotate them somewhat to get them to be part in the water and part on the shore.  Added each of those one at a time and than the moose and her baby had to be added with the back ground erased....  Lost my work completely after 5 hours and started over...lol.... so the second time I lost it.. I only lost what I had done to it last as I had been saving it as I went a long.  And this is what I ended up with in GIMP:

Than as usual I took it to PICNIK and Create... changed it to B&W... then put the white mist around it with Matte. Just used the drop shadow instead of a frame and I had

The Plus is not really a plus but "The Dream" in living color... Which of course, should make it more of a reality

Wishing everyone a week

in which your dreams come true!

  1. Oh Linda You done good girl. Now don't hate me, but if you had used a selection tool to select the object first and then you could have erased the rest of the background. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL sorry my bad I did not ask you if you had done that step just assumed you had.LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Next time we will remember. I tried to do something the eother day and I could not remember how I had done it for the life of me.
