I posted a blog with pictures of our snow here in Alabama on Sunday.
These were taken 45 minutes after the pictures in the blog. I tried to take areas that I had put in my blog so you could see the difference. The last one was taken when I left work on Monday morning ~ Our Winter Wonderland was gone.
As you can tell we don't get snow very often and not much when we do
(There are pictures posted from March 8, 2008 of snow flurries we had then.)
Of course, I had to include my Buddy!
i like this one ..for whatever reason my eye was pulled to this one as i scanned
ReplyDeleteand this one the splash of color looks great
ReplyDeletepoor daffodils..................
ReplyDeletebrrrrrrrrrr
ReplyDeleteim not sure buddy is digging this or not
ReplyDeleteSome wonderful pictures, buddy looks happy
ReplyDeletegoes to show you what a poor photographer I am, Gary... not once did I stop to think about taking a good picture...lol.... I was just so excited about the snow and how beautiful it looked! BUT thank you!
ReplyDeleteoh, I know Rita, can you believe they have icicles on them?
ReplyDeleteAND IT IS MORE SO NOW!!! But than you know that ~ lol.
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't know, Gary, he was still chasing squirrels...
ReplyDeletematter of fact when I drove in the driveway, he was running one up a tree!
lol maybe he just didnt want his pic taken lmao i get those looks occasionally
ReplyDeleteThank you, John.... you know give Buddy a few squirrels, a raccoon or two, a couple of toys and Mama outside playing.... he is a happy camper! (For some reason the squirrels were not bothered by the snow.. they still came out to give him a fun time!
ReplyDeleteI think maybe, Gary, he was put out with me running around making pictures and not playing with him.... our big thing is I throw the toy... he runs after it... than won't let me get it back to throw it again...BUT if I act like I am giving up...he will give it back to me to throw! He is so funny!
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm with gary...lol This was the first one I clicked on. Great photo girly!! Make a snow angel for me :)
ReplyDeleteIt's all gone, Vanessa!!! yes, one day and that was it! But so much fun while it lasted!
ReplyDeletelol ohhh he plays those kinds of fetch..thats the way my boxers played
ReplyDeletesometimes shootin just what you like to look at in the excitement turns out some pretty awsome photos..I liked the above one that gator liked too.
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder who is in charge ~ doesn't it???
ReplyDeleteStill racking my brain for MM before it's too late!
lol im sure it ever gets to late its left open from week to week
ReplyDeleteCathy, I just know it is so beautiful to look at ~ how I wish my camera (or the nut behind it) would find a way to catch it falling on camera! I bet you could post a lot of beautiful snow pictures! The picture you are talking about is of my neighbors walk.
ReplyDeleteThat just might work, Gator, with my kind of promptness
ReplyDeletethat was VERY short lived!!
ReplyDeleteTOO SHORT!!!! ;-(
ReplyDeleteOf course if I had to shovel sidewalks and driveways, I might feel a little different!
lol...yeah this is true. I'm sitting here in FL in 60 degree highs and claiming how cool snow is and how I wish I could have a day of it. I could never live in it though!
ReplyDeleteaww look at our daffodils! they are really suffering, quite unconscious that they were one of the themes for your local photo safari!
ReplyDeletei can smell the snow!
ReplyDeletemelting quickly, right?
ReplyDeletei love new snow on trees too..lovely image!
ReplyDeleteis this your dog, linda?
ReplyDeleteThat's the way our snow is...here today, and gone tomorrow.. We only had about a inch or so this winter, but then it quickly melted.. Our usual snow fall for the winter...Once or twice, and then gone. Elevation just too low for snow, but we do have more on the nearby mountains.
ReplyDeleteWOOOOW great pictures. This one is the best for me.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are very strong... I guess I never realized how much before. This morning, although it started out in the low twenty's we have plenty of sunshine and they are bright yellow... (a little lower to the ground. I think). The dog is mine... he is my Buddy!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I like it too... I liked it because of all the snow just clinging to each stem!
ReplyDeleteThe "and then gone" is probably a good part... makes it more special and so much fun, but not a lot of work! Getting so excited for you and the lovely lady... counting the days for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you, like I told Gary.. didn't think like a real photographer... just kept shooting and hoping the snow coming down would show... just doesn't with my camera... don't know why! You know this made it not so far from you... well, give or take 500 miles ~ lol
ReplyDeleteI thought so too, because in a way the dog looks like you.
ReplyDeletedon't feel offended, you are both so good looking.
That is such a beautiful photo !!
ReplyDeleteI love this one , when I see a great photo like this, I immediately think of Picture Perfect lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful one Linda !!!
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling Linda. I haven't seen it snow here in the two years I've been here except for a brief dusting a year ago December. Sun came out an hour after it stopped and in a couple hours was all gone. It went from 30 to 72 just like that.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow pics Linda, they are just lovely and your dog is really cute!
ReplyDeleteHot and windy here today.
