Gator and Cherie's 3rd Scavenger Hunt...

 

 

          GATOR & CHERIE'S 3RD        

It took me a full week plus but I had fun getting some of these pictures ~ right down to the fish with people dining around me and the waiter pointing out more fish around the restaurant I could take pictures of!!The cows were taken from a moving truck as John was driving down the road on my last trip to California!  And Cherie had to listen to me as I drove all over trying to find a billboard and a Church Bulletin.  Was another fun time!

Another fun time with Mono Monday!!! 

Really got excited about this one, too!!!

It seems as though I am not creating works of art

 but fun projects & loving it so much!!!

Some of you know that yesterday was

Cherie's Birthday and saw this picture

in her birthday blog...

I had so much fun putting it together that

I decided to play some more with it for MM.

 

 

The pictures I used:

Of course I went into GIMP and put Cherie's head on the picture using the google picture as layer 1 and Cherie & I as layer 2.....

As Cherie has been and is going through a very cold winter (Yes, in sunny California) this year... we had a fair skinned girl and I had to take it to Picnik to add a little color.

 

Well, that is where I picked up today and took it back to Picnik......Where I tried changing it to black & white but I didn't care for the result so I went Sepia and with this picture liked it much better....

 

 

 

BUT THIS IS MONO MONDAY

So staying in Picnik I went back to black & white

took it to the sandbox in Picnik and played

around for awhile!  Than took it to frames for a mirror frame

and had the plus:

 

Had so much fun with this ~ makes me smile ~ Hope Cherie enjoyed her birthday as much as I did!  Well back to work for me tonight but I will do some visiting in the morning!!!

Yes, today is Cherie's Birthday.... After spending last year with her on her Birthday, I had decided that I was going to make sure that I was there for every Birthday after that...

 (Best laid plans...)  But I am there in heart and spirit!!!!

Seems as though we have our own little community going here on Multiply and the beauty of it is that miles don't matter (well, until you want to get a real hug from your friend again.)  Anyone that is blessed enough to know Cherie knows everything I am about to tell you... and anyone that doesn't know her needs to drop by and wish her Happy Birthday and get her in your life... it will be a day that you will always be thankful for!!!!  I know!!!!

She is such a good writer... but she is much more than a writer...

 

 

She is beautiful BUT she is much more than that!

 

 

She is a wonderful mother and grandmother......

    ( I know she looks too young!)

 

 

She is loving & kind!!!

 

 

She is so much fun and full of life and adventure!!!

 

 

She is the BEST FRIEND anyone could ask for!!!!

I could go on and on...

and still not cover how beautiful, kind, smart or loving she is....

Should be many different pictures this week as there are so many treasures in this world ~  Natural and man-made treasures.  I think some of the most important are love, family (most importantly including our children & grandchildren), friends, home, nature (there are so many in nature),and even time (yes, every second is a treasure that must be valued for what it is).

 

Love, Life and Time are each a Treasure.

As is every little flower that finds a way to break through to the sunlight!

 

The cedar box contains little treasures 

which tell stories of my love...

As our world contains treasures,

both large & small, showing God's love!

It's another fun week with Mono Monday,

and I am so excited this week...

I saw Gator's post and I went with the fantasy theme.

My oldest granddaughter, Arianna, loves the Disney princess's

And so I thought I would do pictures that would make her happy.

(I have to thank Rita again... I am having so much fun with GIMP...

So much to play with and learn but it is great fun!!!)

 

Here are the pictures I used for

my Mono Monday #46:

The first thing I did was cut Arianna out of the Christmas picture

Had to go to Gimp and put it on a larger width picture and anchor it

Than added the layer of Ariel and erased Ariel's face to show Arianna's.

Saved that and pulled my undersea picture up to GIMP

brought the picture made up with my Arianna-Ariel & erased it's back ground.

Now I had Arianna-Ariel under the sea...

I took the clip art one layer at a time and added it ~ sized each one to the right size.

 

After I had it all together I saved it and it looked like this:

I than took this into Picnic and changed it to black & white

Also added a drop shadow frame in Picnik & this is what I came up with:

 

 

 

And for my Plus:
