Our private duty nurse!
This last week we had a patient who was very confused. She was extremely frightened when she was left alone. With 18 other patients on the floor it is impossible to stay in one room every minute, but you don't want a little confused woman lying in her room scared to death.......
We say that a nurse has to be a nurse, a waitress, a house cleaner,...a friend...
and as it would appear... an engineer.............
Looks like r2d2's type.....
ReplyDeleteCool..nurses have the hardest job...geezz and here i complain all the time about my job....cheers Linda
ReplyDeletehahaha...that is too cute!
ReplyDeleteLOL...a quiet night at the office...?
ReplyDeleteit may be some cold metal - a robot - but certainly cute and heartwarming
ReplyDeleteThat is creative and so cool. You know my best moments when hospitalized always came from the many smiles the nurse's provided not only in the excellent care some give, but from their sense of humor as they always knew when a chuckle was needed. Linda your a care giver and for a reason. Thank you for all the caring you have given so many in your career. We don't always hear the thank yous, so just know I appreciate you and so many in your profession. job well done girl and all care givers reading this. Thank you for what you sacrifice and give for other's.
ReplyDeleteLOL. It's that sense of humour you cannot leave by the front door when you go to work Linda...... Clearly your humour is not in short supply and keeps you and your patients happy and brimming with smiles. We would all be so lucky to have a nurse like you!
ReplyDeleteOpps, so sorry, I didn't tell you what the outcome of this little project was!!!!

ReplyDeleteOh this is wonderful! Working for an Alheimers Facility as a physical, musical and art therapist with patients in the third and fourth stages, I have witnessed this first hand... this surely would have come in handy for so many that are lonely in their confusion. Being creative and caring is so important! The facility team nicknamed me "Mary Poppins" for all the Julie Andrews music I sang them. There are times when each patient could have used your Nurse Brenda... you are truly a living guardian angel, Linda! Big hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteThat is very clever!
ReplyDeleteha ha...that's funny. I bet she's a good nurse :)
ReplyDeleteThat is way too cool.
