PICTURE PERFECT FRIDAY ~ LOOKALIKE

PICTURE PERFECT FRIDAY

MIA is the hostess this week
(welcome Mia)
and the theme she has chosen is:

LOOKALIKE

Another fun theme!  The minute I heard Lookalike,
my first thought was of the old
Liberty Mutual Insurance building
They torn it down some years back.
There was a replica of the Statue of Liberty
on the top of it which had carefully
been saved and moved to a new
location in the outskirts of town
at the headquarters for the Boy Scouts of America.
So I headed there...
I love it when I see people proud of their country.
There are so many wonderful countries and
many reasons to be proud of them.
The more people I meet from around the world,
the better I understand that!!!!
I, too, am proud of my country and
I am proud to be an American.

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lifted my lamp beside the golden door!"

  14. What an awesome thought & Shot! I love it. It looks like the real deal standing so proudly. My son and his brand new wife honeymooned in Paris and saw the original. They were only able to get a photograph of it from the Eiffel Tower so it is very small and without detail in the photo, but it was still neat looking at the photo of it. Have a terrific week! Thanks for visiting mine!

The idea here is very good, Its just the idea to look behind the word and seek "something". I like this.
