Of course, each week Heather
gets each one of us to put on our thinking caps.
With me the first thing that pops into my head is the music
(but than I am a music person)
and this week I just could not get away from this song.
I thought of "One Nation Under God" and one flag
But this song stayed in my head so here it is...
When not one of your friends can come out to play,
Not one adult is free ~ or so they say....
One is such a lonely number....
What is one boy to do?
Wishing each one
of you a Wonderful Weekend!!!
What a beautiful photo.. You always do such an awesome job... Hugs to you my friend. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour O N E is lonely
ReplyDeleteThat's so sad.
ReplyDeleteQuick. Put the camera down and skip rocks with that boy. Looks nice & quiet out there.
ReplyDeleteI know the ending to this one and it's not sad at all......Nanna skipped rocks and fished with him the rest of the weekend and then there were TWO.....
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great picture and a great take on this weeks theme.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great photo!! I liked the little cartoon drawing above it, too, with the boy singing in the swing all by himself. How cute!! Great post, Linda!
ReplyDeleteHe does look a little lonely there. Great pic and post.
ReplyDeleteSuch a little sweety.
ReplyDeleteSomething to think about. That is an endearing picture.
ReplyDeleteAlways loved that song... ONE is the loneliest number that you ever knew....
ReplyDeleteLove this shot, such contemplation he is showing on that 'fish'? in the water...
Terrific take on the theme in music and picture.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful post . . . one is a lonely number for sure . . .
ReplyDeleteI had a song pop into my head with this week's theme too... rather different to yours. Beautiful post as always. I love the photo of the little boy... so alone.... so wrapped up in what he is doing. Makes you want to go up and toss a stone in next to his just to see him look up and grin.
ReplyDeletewhat a great interpretation... very melancholy!
ReplyDeleteFrom one, then all else came.....and your one of them. Nothing in life more special than that.
ReplyDeleteHei Linda
ReplyDeleteAaaah, such a cute picture!!
Love the words as well.
Brill entry. Keep so well.

Mine was up late....
Sometimes I just sits and thinks and sometimes I just sits..... I have many a picture of my son in this contemplative pose.... Lovely pic Linda!
ReplyDeleteaww, what a good shot! one can feel his loneliness and how much he is waiting for someone to play with! the sand on the foreground underlines the feeling of being in an emotional desert!
ReplyDeletewell done!
How I missed this I don't know but it seems I did. What a wonderful photo. You can feel the loneliness in this photo...it is amazing.
