Mono Monday Plus ~ The Last Dance (a Season Comes to a Close)

MONO MONDAY PLUS
"The Last Dance ~ A Season Comes To A Close"

To Join in the fun one last time or view the other post Click on our Gator below:

Although I was one of the first to click on Gator's page and join up for Mono Monday...
It took me six months to do the first one....
Only right that I should be late with this one
(Although you would think I would have learned something about all the fun you miss when you are late!)
When I finally broke down and jumped into the fire ~ lol ~ the first thing I learned
was how to turn a picture B&W and pull back some color...
so I did one of those of my grandson for my Last Mono Monday!

Than I learned layers... thanks to Rita's help.  I haven't stopped with layering since ~ lol.

This is a quote I used in one of my Image & Words post but different picture

(ROFL ~ certainly not a new picture around here),

which I turned B&W, and added another layer too (The beach).

There is no way to thank everyone that taught me so much during Mono Monday...

Saw so many really neat pictures.... met some really nice people...

And Gary, we thank you so much!!!

And I had to add this last ~ one of my first and favorite layer pictures of our Gator...

It was for his Birthday but it seen so appropiate to put it here also!

And last I want to thank you for never fussing about my music....
and always having something good to say about it!
You have to be the best Gator in the Swamp!

  1. Linda, you always find a way to make me smile. This time is no different, although a bit teary-eyed as well. Your grandson is a beautiful child... how could you not want to share him with everyone?!

And the picture of you and my favorite Penguin... there's where the tears start... of happiness and hope. Hope for the two of you, and for myself and the one I love.

And lastly, our fellow aquatic... Gator. It's a wonderful picture to begin with. Our ever attentive Gator watching over us all, while pondering "what's next". Beautiful job, Linda. I'm happy you posted, late, or not!

  8. lol my ever late linda dear it looks like this may be the last dance of the party and most def a wonderful last dance surprise... care to trip the light fantastic with the old reptile...well from first to last the bw of your darling little grandson is superb..classic as a matter of fact...and like duckie seeing the one of our fellow aquatics (penguin and dolphin) making with the kissy face is a touching shot that reflects a beautiful love...with beautiful words to go with...and I seldom ever like a pic of myself but this one is a keeper as far as im concern you even managed to impress Mj with it..and to please a deity is nothing to be taken lightly...and about the music ..it was your pic perf entries when i first started doing them that prompted me to follow suit so my thanks to you on that matter as you always seem to find the perfect song to go hand in hand with the image...late as you may be thanks for the memories and all we have shared and will continue to share thru the coming ages..

  10. Well....it's fitting .....my best friend in high school always got to have a first kiss and last dance and I stood watching and dreaming. Some things don't change. Enjoy the dance with our gator and soon to be more kisses with your love. (You learned well and I know if I ever get the time and energy you will teach me what you've learned too.) LOVE the music.

  17. They are all wonderful! I should have found a dolphin pic like at the top of your page for my garden pic, but all I found was the Orca whale which no one even recognized. LOL Lovely job on all of them and thanks for stopping!

  18. LOL I see a smile behind that pacifier! Ahhhhh on the second, when can we do that again? And what big eyes Gator has! To see all and know all and as someone said above, to watch over us. I had not heard this version of Last Dance before, really like it, though with a bit of sadness as this is the last MM. Which has given me an idea, I am going to drown my sorrow in a two pound bag of M&Ms!!!!!! Eating the green ones first in honor of that greenish reptilian who taught us all, and even put up with us!!
