I Left My Heart . . .

Sitting at the airport in Sacramento thinking back over the last ten days...

I find myself smiling but very sure that it is the memories of the many adventures, the beautiful country, the really wonderful people and not the leaving part that has created this smile.  Not the leaving part for sure, as my heart is not wanting to leave at all.  It belongs here. . .     In fact, it insist upon staying!!!

Everyone has been  so wonderful ~ even the gentleman that checked my bags was so very pleasant. As he smiled and laughed, I was thinking I should be here seeing someone else off ~ certainly not checking my bags!  For every minute with the people that I spent time with was absolutely wonderful.  So right.  Just way too short of a time, but than for some of them a lifetime would not be long enough.  And those I wanted to see but didn't get to . . .

Don't know how the pilot will take the, "Oh no, we're going to have to turn this plane around!!! I left my heart back there!  I must go back, yes, and stay because as we all know, Home is where the heart is!"

I missed you too, Cherie, but I am thinking we will do the Southeast and than do California again too!!!!
Thank you, Miss Susan ~ wanted to see you so much again but just not enough hours in the day and also see LittleRonnie but time wouldn't permit!!! Just can't stay away so let me work real hard and get another ticket and plan more time with some of the greatest people!

  6. wow, hard isn't it. Sounds like love/friends is made from rubber, the farther away you get from it the more it stretches but not without pulling, and pulling harder each mile stretched tugging to snap back together. But always together stretched or not each end connected with love tied tightly between two hearts.

  7. Awww...so sweet Linda. Reminds me of the huge part of my heart left in the US when we had to leave. Now I miss the states so bad it's kinda silly coz when I'm there I miss Indonesia badly. LOL! I guess you're right home is where our heart is and my heart is torn between two places and soon we'll have to try to make China a new home. Hope all is well with you. Hugs!

  11. No more airports today (well, not since 02:45 this am) and, of course, instead of unpacking and getting things ready for work tonight, I wish I was packing and heading for the airport . . .

Bright side ~ Buddy was so happy to see me when I picked him up from my daughter's home and he sat close all the way home ~ lol.

Mitch, what a great discription you gave of what love and friends are and how they work!!! (I heard a program on the pbs on the way to get Buddy about how one can affect a child's life and how important it is to be there for them and thought of you right away!)
Thank you, TJ ~ my time was so wonderful ~ always seems to be with these California people ~ lol. I'm with Heather, we all just need to have a great big get-together there!
Maureen, I can see how you feel about both places and hearts will touch you in China as well! Family is so important as are those that we love like family!!
Thank you, Vanessa ~ you are right, if I can help it at all, I will work really hard to get back there soon!! Or get them here!!!! Congratulations on your new family member ~ I will have to come see all the pictures!!!
I'm with you, Robbie, I don't like hurt hearts either!!!! And I especially don't like Dr. O crying!!!!! I'm thinking Texas might just be in the middle ~ a good place to meet and spend time with friends!!!!
Ronnie, as I said in my last little note down there ~ you were one of those I sure wish I had seen ~ guess John already told you that you were thought about and talked about!!! And next time we won't let that exit get by!!!!
