Acceptance

How wonderful it would be if we could accept

ourselves and others as we except nature.

We don't expect a palm tree to be like an elm,

or a sunflower to look like a rose. To be fully

accepted by everyone is undoubtedly an

unattainable goal. But it is a wonderful

feeling when there is someone with whom

we can be honest and can discuss our

innermost feelings, knowing that we are still

accepted. To find this kind of acceptance,

we must also be willing to give it in return.

We can only be ourselves if we are willing

to let others be themselves.
